How I lead, and why
Enterprise UX: making it a structural decision, not a talent decision.
I've seen brilliant ideas struggle, great people burn out, and orgs with good-enough UX miss the mark. The best work is never linear — but it can be real and predictable. When I'm done, my orgs spend people energy on the work instead of the friction. I look for systems, not hero moments, so large orgs can move as fast and deliberately as small ones. I cut friction so we deliver what we promised. Every detail of that is built on people.
My leadership principles
When delivery, prioritization, and resourcing lack clear ownership, the invisibility multiplies. I build systems — intake, metrics dashboards, alignment rituals — so every stakeholder knows what's real, what's next, and how they can help, influence, or remove risk.
People aren't processors, and teams aren't infinitely elastic. In unclear systems, the best people quietly absorb the chaos until they leave. I design roles, decision-making rights, and RACI clearly — so people have room to work, focus to protect, and no reason to be swept off.
Achievement doesn't come from top-down mandate; that's always failing by the second quarter. I get everyone the same four things: vision, focus, a category, and a bar clear enough that the team can act on it without me in the room.
I don't scale by doing more myself. I scale by making other people more capable of leading. If the system falls apart when I leave, I didn't build a system — I built a dependency.
Telemetry turns opinion into evidence and defensiveness into decisions. I lead with numbers not because people are numbers, but because numbers get people out of the fight and back to the work.
